Caiyun Yu (she/her)

InterGrad Dialogue Program Coordinator

Program: M.A. in Social Welfare (MSW)

Caiyun is a 2nd-year graduate student pursuing a Master's degree in Social Welfare with a concentration in Health and Mental Health Across the Lifespan. She is from the Bay Area and obtained her Bachelor's degree in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley in 2019. She has experience in youth development and worked as an Academic Mentor. Caiyun also interned at St. Joseph Center for her MSW practicum, where she provided mental health services to the homeless population in Venice. Caiyun is passionate about health equity and helping the underserved, with hopes to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

This year, Caiyun will be one of the facilitators for the InterGrad Dialogue series. Her series will focus on building community and resources for first-generation, low-income graduate students. She hopes to increase diversity and representation in higher education.
