Program: Masters in Social Welfare
I am very passionate about uplifting others to help them thrive. During my time at California State University, Dominguez Hills, I made it my mission to be heavily involved in my school community. I held many executive positions for various school organizations and clubs. As an acting leader, I successfully facilitated and hosted several events that provided my fellow peers with resources, peer-to-peer support, networking opportunities, relationship-building activities, and volunteer and community service events. I was also a College Corps Fellow, focusing on finding solutions to fight food insecurity on campus, and a Community Advocate for Dominguez's Latinx Cultural Resource Center.
Fun fact: I love to barbecue and attend Lowrider Car Shows
Advice for graduate students: Do not hesitate to ask for support and guidance when needed.
