Cameron Burris-Greene is a first-year graduate student pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change. A proud HBCU grad with a background in psychology and education, Cameron’s research looks at Black students’ experiences at higher education institutions. Throughout his undergraduate career, Cameron held multiple extracurricular positions, including president of the Residence Hall Association and student affairs office Intern, which honed in on his research interest in student campus connectedness. Here at UCLA, Cameron serves as a HEOC student representative and a graduate student orientation coordinator.

Fun Fact: One of my favorite pastimes is journaling! I am carrying at least two journals with me at any given moment.

Advice for Graduate Students: Pinpoint and maintain an identity outside of academia. When you know who you are outside of the classroom, you can better show up inside the classroom.
