About GSO

Graduate Student Orientation (GSO)

Graduate Student Orientation (2025) is an orientation for all new graduate and professional students. GSO 2025 is a three-part program designed to welcome incoming students, connect them with key campus resources, and build a sense of community as they begin their graduate journey.

  1. Part 1: GSO-Online - designed by the GSRC; is an online training module that walks students through the basic information, resources, and training they need to succeed on campus
  2. Part 2: GSO-In Person Events - workshops, socials, networking opportunities, etc. organized by the GSRC, hosted by campus partners; trainings and information sessions to help prepare new students for their graduate careers and know the resources available to support them in all dimensions of their wellness
  3. Part 3: New Graduate Student Welcome - organized and hosted by the Division of Graduate Education; a big welcome party with food, activities, and opportuntities to continue building community.
