    The Graduate Writing Center offers a variety of workshops and programs throughout the year in addition to free 1:1 writing consultations. GWC is located within the Graduate Student Resource Center.

  • Career Center
    The UCLA Career Center empowers graduate students to make informed career planning decisions through innovative programs, discipline-specific 1:1 coaching, and employer connections.

  • Handshake
    Handshake is a platform that connects talented Bruins with internships, jobs and career opportunities. Handshake is also the portal to sign up for a 1:1 Grad Writing or Career Advising appointment.

Emergency Housing

  • Bruin Shelter
    Bruin Shelter is a UCLA undergraduate volunteer organization that operates a shelter for students experiencing homelessness in the greater Los Angeles area.
  • Economic Crisis Response team
    ECR Team provides support and guidance to students who have self-identified, or are identified by UCLA faculty or staff, as experiencing a financial crisis that impacts their academic success at UCLA.

Funding & Financial

  • Collections Office
    Located at the Wilshire Center in Westwood, the Collections Office maintains a staff of five counselors to assist students with their campus-based student loans.
  • Economic Crisis Response Team - ECR Team
    Provides support and guidance to students who have self-identified, or are identified by UCLA faculty or staff, as experiencing a financial crisis that impacts their academic success at UCLA.
  • Extramural Fellowship Directory - GRAPES
    Search for awards from among 625 scholarships, grants, fellowships, and postdoctoral awards.
  • Fellowships and Financial Services
    Administer fellowship applications, award processing, and other financial processes and transactions. Location: 1228 Murphy Hall
  • Student Accounts
    UCLA Student Accounts oversees billing and collections for all student and various non-student accounts for the campus.
  • Student Loan Services
    Responsible for administering long-term educational loans, such as Perkins, Health Professions, and Direct Loans; GPLS and PLUS; as well as private auxiliary loans.

  • CalFresh
    Governmental financial assistance based on proof of need. CalFresh is California’s version of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program), a federally-funded food assistance program.
  • CPO Food Closet
    The food closet provides free food for any UCLA student who may be experiencing hunger and/or struggling to attain food due to financial hardships. Location: Student Activities Center Level 1

  • Behavioral Intervention Team
    BIT's mission is to promote campus safety by identifying threats of harm (and potential threats) and evaluating information reported to BIT.
