Signature Events
Graduate Student Orientation (GSO)
The UCLA Graduate Student Orientation (GSO) is a comprehensive, multi‑part program designed to welcome new graduate and professional students, introduce them to essential campus resources, and help them build community as they begin their academic journey. It includes GSO‑Online, a self-paced module covering key information and training; a series of in‑person workshops, socials, and networking events; and the campus-wide New Graduate Student Welcome hosted by the Division of Graduate Education.
Graduate & Professional Student Appreciation Week
UCLA's Graduate and Professional Student Appreciation Week (GPSAW) is an event which recognizes the important contributions of graduate and professional students. Celebrated nationally, GPSAW first began in 1993 and was developed by the National Association of Graduate-Professional Students. UCLA's GPSAW programming falls during week 1 (March 30th - April 3rd) this year. This week will include in-person events and a social media campaign to raise awareness for this important initiative.
Graduate Advocacy Week
UCLA's Graduate Advocacy Week is a powerful celebration of activism, advocacy, and community engagement. Hosted by the Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC) in collaboration with campus partners, this week highlights the importance of equity and inclusion through workshops, discussions, and events designed to inspire and empower our graduate and professional student community to drive meaningful change.
