Graduate Bruin Welcome

The UCLA Graduate Student Resource Center (GSRC), Division of Graduate Education, and the Graduate Student Association invite all new incoming graduate and professional school students to participate in our 2026 Graduate Bruin Welcome. What a way to begin your graduate career at UCLA on a positive note!

Registration will open on August 31st on 12Twenty (Make sure to register for 12Twenty to access all graduate resources).

What is Graduate Bruin Welcome (GBW)?

Graduate Bruin Welcome, formerly known as Graduate Student Orientation (GSO) is a comprehensive, multi‑part program designed to welcome new graduate and professional students, introduce them to essential campus resources, and help them build community as they begin their academic journey. It includes an expansive Resource Fair featuring both campus partners and student organizations, a series of in‑person sessions, a campus-wide Welcome Dinner, and an invitation to Grad Bar hosted by the Graduate Student Association.

Workshop sessions are grouped into tracks designed to support different aspects of the graduate student experience. Since multiple sessions will occur at the same time, we encourage you to review the schedule and choose the workshops that best match your interests, needs, and goals.
